WALTHAM, Mass. - Brandeis University rookie Marc Eder of Princeton, N.J., has been selected to compete in the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota from March 18 to 21, hosted by Macalester College. Eder is the first Brandeis man to be selected to the NCAA championships since Matt Christian '05 in 2005.

Eder's top event this season was the 200-yard breaststroke. Eder set the school record in the event with a time of 2:04.79, taking nearly three seconds off Christian's previous school record at the ECAC All-Division championships on March 1. He enters the national championship meet ranked 20^th in the nation and needing to finish in the top 16 to garner All-America honors. Eder will also compete in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley at the NCAA championships. His best time of the season in the 100 breast was 58.79 seconds, just 0.11 seconds short of a school record, while he posted a 4:10.61 in the finals of the 200 IM at the ECAC championships, good for 12^th  place.

The Judges also have a chance to be represented on the women's side of the meet, as rookie Angela Chui of Toms River, N.J., was selected as the second alternate to the meet after a season in which she set Brandeis records in five individual and five relay events.

Eder is a 2008 graduate of The Lawrenceville School.  He is the son of Scott and Lauren Eder of Princeton, N.J.

Chui is a 2008 graduate of Peddie School. She is the daughter of Beck and Amy Chui of Toms River, N.J.
