• Eder performs well at NCAA championships

    Rookie Marc Eder had a pair of fine performances in his tune-up for the 200-yard breaststroke, improving his lifetime bests in both the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. He set a school-record in the 100 and finished in 26th place In the 200 breaststroke, he placed 27th in the nation.

    Rookie Marc Eder will be the first member of the Brandeis men's swimming and diving team since 2005 to compete at the NCAA Division III championships, which will be held March 18 to 21 at the University of Minnesota. He is ranked 20th in the nation in the 200 breaststroke.

    Rookie Marc Eder supplied Brandeis's first NCAA 'B' qualifying performance of the season on the final day of competition and the Judges set six school records during the three-day ECAC All-Division Championships held at Harvard. Brandeis finished in 16th place out of 23 teams, second among D3 squads.
  • Eder enjoys breakout meet at UAA swimming and diving championships

    Rookie Marc Eder enjoyed a breakout meet this weekend as the Brandeis University men's swimming and diving team finished in eighth place at the University Athletic Association swimming and diving championships at the University of Chicago. Eder had three finishes in the top 16, all of which produced times that were the second-best in Judges' history in their event. Brandeis finished with 416.5 points at the meet.
  • Despite freestyle sweep, Brandeis men fall to Trinity, 153.5-139.5

    The Brandeis men's swimming and diving team won all the freestyle events, including one that was a tie, but the host Trinity College Bantams took advantage of the Judges' lack of divers to earn a 153.5-139.5 victory. Brandeis closes out the dual-meet season with a 4-5 record.

    By winning 10 of 13 events, the Brandeis men's swimming and diving team handed Clark University a 133-104 loss, as the Judge seniors were recognized in their next-to-last dual meet of the campaign. Senior Robert Morse was one of the team's multiple winners on the night.

    Despite a fine performance from rookie Angela Chui (Toms River, N.J.) on the women's side and a win from classmate Marc Eder (Princeton, N.J.), the Brandeis swimming and diving teams could not get past Tufts University. The women dropped a 169.5-114.5 decision, while the men fell, 205-82.

    Despite a pair of wins each from sophomore Aaron Bennett (Setauket, N.Y.) and junior James Liu (Longmeadow, Mass.), the Brandeis men's swimming and diving team could not overcome Keene State. The Judges dropped a 172-122 decision to the Owls.
