Tamir Zitelny swims B cut as swimmers return to New Englands

Competing at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships for the first time in a decade, rookie Tamir Zitelny made a splash for the Brandeis men. He won three events, set three school records and in the process recorded the first NCAA B cut of his career, swimming 1:52.74 in the 200-yard butterfly. Zitelny's other titles for the weekend came in the 100 backstroke, in which he set a meet record (50.61 seconds) and in the 200 back as well. He was also part of the school-record 200-medley relay team as the Judges finished in third place in their first NEISDA appearance since 2006. Zitelny also joined his brother Edan '17 as a UAA Athlete of the Week.
