Swimming and Diving teams earn CSCAA Scholar All-America honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named to the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for the Spring of 2022.

The Judges teams, led by fifth-year head coach Nicole Carter, each qualified by posting cumulative semester GPAs above 3.30, with the men achieving a team GPA of 3.42 and the women 3.61. This is the 16th selection in the last 18 semesters for the men and the 59th in the last 61 semesters for the women.

In addition, Sam Dienstag '24 of Wilmette, Illinois, earned individual Scholar All-America honors from the CSCAA for the second year in a row. Dienstag was recognized for owning an individual cumulative GPA greater than 3.50 while qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships. Dienstag finished 30th in the 500-yard freestyle and 19th in the 1,650-yard freestyle while exceeding the 3,50 GPA cutoff as an economics major.
