CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Jack Allan (Wrentham, Mass./King Phillip Regional) continued his fantastic season, lowering the school record in the 60-meter hurdles for the second time as part of the USATF New England meet at Harvard University.
Allan shaved another 0.06 off his previous school record, placing fourth with a time of 8.40 seconds. He's now lowered the previous mark by 0.16 seconds. He will be seeded fourth at the UAA Championships. Allan also placed seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.88 meters (6-2).
The Judges got a win in the 4x440-yard relay with sophomore Dion Morris-Evans (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Northeast), senior Churchill Perry (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Westminster Academy), sophomore Jamie O'Neil (Auburndale, Mass. / Newton North) and sophomore Aaron Portman (Wheeling, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson)
Other top performances were turned in by sophomore Devin Hiltunen (Quincy, Mass./North Quincy), who finished second in the 200-meter dash for the women with a time of 25.91 seconds;
Perry, who was third in the 200 for the men with a time of 22.71 seconds, and in the triple jump with a distance of 13.76 meters (45-1 ¾). Both marks are fourth-best in the UAA;
Morris-Evans, who was third in the high jump at 1.88 meters (6-2), besting Allan and others on number of jumps;
Junior Breylen Ammen (Lincoln, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) and senior Aaron Corin (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) were fourth and fifth in the pole vault at 4.35 meters (14-3 ¼) and 4.20 meters (13-9 ¼), respectively;
Rookie Thomas Vandalovsky (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) was fourth in the shot put (13.31m, 43-8) and fifth in the 35-pound weight throw (13.44m, 44-0 ¼);
Senior Willa Moen (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) was fifth in the women's 60-meter hurdles in 9.47 seconds, a p.r., 9th in the UAA;
Sophomore Anna Touitou (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville) was sixth in the 60-meter dash in 8.27 seconds, tying her season's best.
