UPDATE: As of 4:30 PM on Thursday, March 12th, the NCAA has canceled all remaining winter and spring 2020 Championships.

WALTHAM, Mass. – Two Brandeis University student-athletes will represent the Judges at the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships next weekend at Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The meet will be held at the JDL Fast Track and hosted by Guilford College on March 13-14.

Junior Niamh Kenney of Hanover, Massachusetts, has qualified for the women's team in the 3,000-meter run. Kenney qualified this past weekend at the Tufts University Last Chance meet with a time of 9:51.40, which was the fifth-fastest in Division III this season. She lowered her previous personal best by 10 seconds at the meet. This will be Kenney's second appearance at an NCAA Championship, but first in indoor track. She was a member of last year's team that qualified for the cross country championships. She placed 81st overall, as the Judges were sixth in the standings. The 3,000-meter preliminaries will be run at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, with finals at 4:45 on Saturday, March 14.

On the men's side, senior Jack Allan of Wrentham, Massachusetts, will become the first-ever male to compete at the NCAA Championships in the heptathlon. Allan's school record of 4782 was also contested at Tufts, back on January 31. Allan has since exceeded his personal best four of the seven events. He will enter the championship meet as the 15th seed. Allan has also set the school record in the 60-meter hurdles this season. The first four events (60-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump) will be held on Friday, with the final three (60m hurdles, pole vault, 1,000-meter run) on Saturday.
