WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University men's and women's fencing coach Jennie Salmon will join the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Owls' 1992 NCAA Championship fencing team.

Salmon was a sophomore on the team that went 17-1 under legendary coach Nikki Franke and won the program's only national title. She was one of two All-Americans on the squad, earning honorable mention honors. Temple entered the 1992 championships seeded second and upset top-seeded Penn State, who had handed the Owls their only loss, 9-7, in the finals.

The team was recognized along with 14 individuals by Temple's Acting Athletic Director Fran Dunphy last week. Click for the full Temple Hall of Fame announcement
