WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University women's swimming and diving team beat the visiting Merrimack Warriors on Saturday afternoon, 151-140, grabbing its first home win of the season and third overall.

The day started with a 200 medley relay victory by freshmen Audrey Kim (Livingston, N.J. / Livingston), Annie Huang (Chapel Hill, N.C. / East Chapel Hill), Rachel Goldblatt (Atlanta, Ga. / Galloway School) and senior Amy Sheinhait (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) with a time of 1:57.55.

Huang, Goldblatt, and junior Kylie Herman (Weston, Fla. / Cypress Bay) all won two individual races on the day. Huang won the 100 and 200 breaststroke races in 1:13.63 and 2:39.27, respectively, taking the 200 by over five seconds. Goldblatt captured the 100 and 200 butterfly races with times of 1:02.88 and 2:22.50, winning each by well over two seconds. Herman took the 200 and 500 yard freestyle races, winning the 200 by .82 seconds (and with a time of 2:04.10) and the 500 by a more comfortable margin of 8.19 seconds (and a time of 5:30.31).

Merrimack won both of the final two events (200 IM and 200 Freestyle Relay), but Brandeis was able to finish second and third in each race to stave off the Warriors' comeback attempt.

The Judges return to action on January 20th with a dual meet against Keene State and Bridgewater State, hosted by Bridgewater.
