#30 women's tennis rolls past Endicott, 9-0

WALTHAM, Mass. – The #30 Brandeis women's tennis team rolled past visiting Endicott College on Wednesday afternoon, 9-0. The Judges only dropped three games in a set in three of the 15 that were played between singles and doubles.

Doubles got off to a quick start, with rookie Sophia He (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Spackenkill) and senior Emily Eska (Princeton, Mass./Wachusett Regional) winning 8-0 at No. 2. Sophomore Haley Cohen (Cherry Hill, N.J./Laurel Springs) and rookie Olivia Leavitt (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) were 8-1 winners at No. 1, and senior Sarita Biswas (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) and rookie Ariana Ishaq (Houston, Texas / Carnegie Vanguard) completed the sweep at No. 3, 8-2.

Singles action was highlighted  by He, who won all 12 games at No. 3, 6-0, 6-0. Eska nearly pulled off the feat, winning 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4. Rookie Keren Khromchenko (Manalapan, N.J./ Academy of Allied Health and Science) won, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Cohen and senior Hannah Marion (Hillsborough, N.C. / Cedar Ridge) each dropped four games – Cohen 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 and Marion 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6. Rookie Michele Lehat (Great Neck , N.Y. / John L. Miller Great Neck North) rounded out the win, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5.

Brandeis closes out the regular season with matches on Friday at #39 Babson and Saturday against #8 Wesleyan at home at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.
