HANOVER, N.H. – Junior Emily Bryson (Quincy, Mass./North Quincy) jumped into the top 20 in the nation in Division III in the 1,500-meter run today at the 2018 NEICAAA Championships, running against Division I, II and III competition at Dartmouth College.

Bryson finished seventh overall to earn Brandeis two points at the meet. Her time of 4:33.57 was second among DIII runners at the meet and 16^th overall in Division III this season, solidifying her position to reach the NCAA Outdoor Championships in two weeks at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. Bryson is also ranked 15^th in the 5,000-meter run with one final weekend of Last Chance meets to finalize her spot at an eighth NCAA Championship in nine seasons at Brandeis.

Junior Doyin Ogundiran (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) improved her national standing in the 800-meter run, as she finished fourth in her heat and 17^th overall with a time of 2:14.03. Her season-best time improved her to 27^th in the nation, but she will need to improve by about a second in order to reach nationals for the third time in her career. Last season she did just that at the Judges' final Last Chance meet, running a four-second PR to reach NCAAs.

Also competing for the Judges was a pair of 5,000-meter runners. Rookie Niamh Kenney (Hanover, Mass./Hanover) finished in 18^th place with a time of 17:54.63 – a collegiate best – and sophomore Danielle Bertaux (Prides Crossing, Mass./Beverly) was 21^st in 18:08.30.

With the two points scored by Bryson, the Judges tied for 35^th place at the meet.
