Bryson takes home another UAA Athlete of the Week honor

WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University senior Emily Bryson of Quincy, Massachusetts, has been tabbed as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 31st.

Bryson was honored for the ninth time with a UAA Athlete of the Week honor in 2018-19 and the 22nd time in her career overall, combining cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. She was recognized for her performance at the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State on Friday, March 29th. Bryson turned in a personal record and Division III's fastest time of this season in the 1,500-meter run with a mark of 4:28.65. Emily's time is the fastest in D3 by 1.34 seconds. Competing against primarily Division I runners, she placed 10th in her heat and 29th overall.

Bryson is an eight-time All-American for the Judges – four times in cross country and four in indoor track. She has won three national championships indoors, winning the 3,000-meter run as a junior and the mile run and as the anchor leg of the distance medley relay this year.

Bryson is a 2015 graduate of North Quincy High School.
