Lauren Yung rejoins the Brandeis Volleyball staff as an assistant coach for the second time in 2021, having served as an assistant coach during the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. In 2017, the Judges reached the semifinals of the ECAC Division III tournament. 

Yung is no stranger to the University Athletic Association, having played for four years and serving as a senior captain at rival Washington University. A defensive specialist, she was a member of four NCAA tournament teams, including the 2011 UAA champions. 

Off the court, Yung was a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee member at Washington, serving on the executive board as a senior. She was a two-time Academic All-UAA selection, graduating with degrees in Healthcare Management and Global Health & Environment.

In addition to her previous coaching stint with the Judges, Yung has also coached youth club volleyball and the Brandeis men's club team. 

In addition to earning BAs in Healthcare Management and Anthropology from Washington University, Yung has also earned her MBA and Master's of Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Partnership Development & Innovation for United States Olympic & Paralympic Properties 

Yung is a native of Southborough, Mass.
