After 10 years, head coach of track and field John Evans will be leaving Brandeis to pursue an expanded role with New Balance. He will be succeeded on an interim basis by his assistant - and wife - Sinead.
For the first time this season, rookie Quinton Hoey led all Brandeis runners with a 32nd-place finish. He was the third different Judge to lead the team in four races.
The Judges placed sixth overall at the Corsair Invitaitonal, with junior Jarret Harrigan and rookie Quinton Hoey leading the way by finishing in the top 25. Brandeis was without one of their top performers in senior Ed Colvin.
The Judges' senior captain covered the 5K course in the Fenway in 16:04. He was one of four Brandeis harriers in the top 10 as they cruised to a 32-point victory.
Two teams and six distinguished individuals will join the Joseph M. Linsey Brandeis Athletics Hall of Fame on October 12. This will be the 20th anniversary of the Hall and the 15th induction class.
