Andrea Bolduc, Women's Cross Country

GET TO KNOW ANDREA

Hometown: Auburn, Massachusetts

Major/Minor: Politics / French & Francophone Studies

Coaches Quote: Andrea jumped in with two feet to embrace being a student and T&F athlete here at Brandeis. From day one she has been an awesome teammate, and stepped up to a captain role her junior year. She has supported her teammates throughout Covid, keeping in regular contact with the team and keeping the coaching staff updated. On the track her hard work has paid off with multiple PR's from the 800m to 5000m. Her big jump in performances came with her All-UAA 2nd place in the DMR at the UAA Indoor Champs 2020 and her brilliant 4th place finish in the mile again at these same champs -- Sinead Evans

Favorite thing about competing for Brandeis: Being able to represent the university that has given me so many amazing experiences and opportunities, both on and off the track.

Favorite athletic moment at Brandeis: Having an All-UAA finish with the Women's DMR at the indoor conference meet last winter at the Armory in New York City.

Favorite class: Fundamentals of Environmental Challenges (Tree Class) with Professor Perlman, because it brought me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to care deeply about both the people and the physical world around me.

The thing that attracted me most to Brandeis: The intellectual enthusiasm and kindness of the people.

Favorite place on campus outside of Gosman: The Mandel Humanities Quad, where I have almost all of my classes.

My best summer job was: Interning on a local mayoral campaign with the Blue Lab this summer.

The thing I'll miss most about Brandeis is: The amazing people who have made this place my home.

Favorite movie: Forrest Gump
