GET TO KNOW MARISSA

Hometown: Blaine, Minnesota

Majors: Biology, Health: Science, Society, and Policy

Favorite athletic moment at Brandeis: Beating NYU during the UAA championships in my sophomore year and having the whole team storm the court.

Favorite class: Organic chemistry laboratory, because it is interactive, the experiments are super fun, and you learn techniques that you will use in the future.

The thing that attracted me most to Brandeis: The ability to go to a great academic school and play the sport that I love. Being a student-athlete is difficult but also extremely rewarding as well. I can't imagine not having my team to support me throughout these years.

Favorite place on campus outside of Gosman: Shapiro Science Center because it is a great place to do homework and study.

My best summer job was: Working for a veterinary hospital every summer for three years. I was able to play with dogs and cats as well as gaining medical knowledge.

Postgraduate plans: Take a gap year and then continue my education by going to medical school.

Favorite movie: Good Will Hunting

Favorite TV Show: New Girl

Favorite Book: The Harry Potter Series

Favorite Meal: Homemade chicken noodle soup
