The University Athletic Association (UAA) has honored 48 Brandeis University student-athletes as part of its All-Academic team for the fall student-athletes. Those athletes have been selected due to their high merits in the classroom, as well as their participation in UAA sports including; Women's and Men's Cross Country, Women's and Men's Soccer, and Volleyball.
UAA All-Academic recognition is awarded only to those student-athletes who have not only completed one full year of study, but also carry a minimum 3.300 cumulative grade point average. The 3.300 cumulative grade point average standard is parallel to the qualifying threshold used by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) to determine nominations for Academic All-America® candidates across all sports.
Beginning in April of 1998, the UAA's Presidents Council established the All-Academic program. Student-athletes that qualify are recognized respectfully at the end of the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons each year. Intending to recognize those students who achieve a level of merit in Academics, while balancing the immense commitment their athletic endeavors need.
Brandeis Student-Athletes continually exemplify the standards set out by the Presidents Council, putting in impressive efforts both on and off the field.
