UPDATE: Registration is closed for most leagues, but still open until 5 pm on March 31st are the following: FIFA 20 PS4, Madden 20 Xbox, and NBA2k PS4.

As we search for ways to stay connected in this time of self-quarantine and social distancing, director of intramurals Julie Mizraji is making sure Brandeis students have a way to stay in touch with their friends while keeping their competitive juices flowing. For the third time in 2019-20, Brandeis will offer e-sports as an intramural offering, with seven different games being offered over three different platforms.

"This is the third time we've done this, including last fall and earlier this January," Mizraji said. "It's definitely a trend in campus recreation. Once all of our in-person sports were canceled, we wanted to find a way for people to be able to connect, and e-sports was the simple and obvious answer."

Brandeis is partnering with Mission Control to offer the IM e-sports leagues. Using this platform, entrants will play one match a week against other Brandeis students using their PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch from the comfort of your own home. The season will run for three weeks followed by a one week playoffs.

Registration closes Saturday, March 28th and Week 1 begins Monday, March 30th.

These leagues are free to play!

Leagues are being offered in FIFA20 (PS4 and Xbox), Madden 20 (PS4 and Xbox), Mario Kart (Nintendo Switch), NBA 2K20 (PS4 and Xbox), NHL 20 (PS4 and Xbox), Rocket League (1v1 and 2v2, Open platform), and Super Smash Bros (Nintendo Switch).
