NOVEMBER 21, 2015 VIEWING GUIDE!

Saturday is a big one for the Judges, with three NCAA events and two home basketball games on the docket. Here’s a brief preview and how you can follow the squads on-line!

11:00 a.m.

Brandeis women’s soccer gets the ball rolling with the NCAA Division III tournament Sectional Semifinal match-up against William Smith College. The #11 Judges (15-2-4) meet the #3 Herons (18-1-1) for the first-time ever despite two coaches each with 36 years on their respective sidelines in Denise Dallamora and AliceAnn Wilber. If the Judges win, they will meet the winner of the match between Williams and Stevens Institute of Technology Sunday at 1 p.m. – visit the Sectional Home Page for updated links on Sunday.

12:00 p.m.

Brandeis women’s cross country standout Emily Bryson continues tradition of excellence from Judge harriers at the NCAA Division III Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Bryson was the 2015 University Athletic Association champion and Rookie of the Year. She is also Brandeis’s first-ever female freshman to qualify for the championships as an individual after placing 13th at the New England Regionals last Saturday. The championship race takes place at noon (11 Central) at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winnicone, Wisc.

1:00 p.m.

Here at home, the Brandeis women’s basketball team takes its 3-0 record into a battle with the Tufts Jumbos in Auerbach Arena. Brandeis is coming off a 78-71 overtime win at Roger Williams University in which they were boosted by 14 points in the last 11 minutes from senior Niki Laskaris. The #3-ranked Jumbos are a two-time Final Four participant who will be making their season debut.

1:30 p.m.

In the premier match of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer tournament to date, the #3 Brandeis Judges (18-2-1) take on #2 Trinity (Texas) (21-2) at Amherst College in search of a berth in the Elite Eight. The Tigers handed the Judges a 2-0 loss earlier in the season on Sept.  in San Antonio, but the goals came in the first five minutes of the contest. Brandeis is looking for their second-straight appearance in the Sectional Final. If the Judges win, they will meet the winner of a match between Amherst and Lycoming Sunday at 1 p.m. – visit the Sectional Home Page for updated links.

3:00 p.m.

The busy day wraps up with the second half of a Brandeis Basketball doubleheader when the men take on Rhode Island College in Auerbach Arena. The 2-0 Judges avenged one of their close non-conference losses on Wednesday night when they edged UMass Dartmouth, 66-65. Last season, the Anchormen took a 66-60 decision in Providence.
