Become a Brandeis Basketball Coach 4 a Day!

Brandeis men's basketball is teaming with The 3pointfoundation to raise money to help mentor inner city boys and you could win the chance to spend a day on the sidelines with the team.

Via the auction site Bidding For Good, you can bid on the opportunity for you and a guest to spend a game on the sidelines with the Brandeis Judges in support of this terrific cause.

Half of the auction proceeds go to The3pointfoundation, to help inner city boys with their character, academics and basketball improvement. The other half will support Marc Fucarile, a Boston Marathon survivor. Fucarile, the cousin of Brandeis Athletics  staff member Matt Calahan, lost his right leg and has undergone 50+ surgeries since April. You can read more about Fucarile in this Boston Globe article. You can donate to the cause here.

The3PointFoundation teaches and mentors urban boys to prepare them for success in academics and life.  We concentrate on reading, writing, mathematics and character development for underserved youth who have demonstrated commitment, discipline and enthusiasm by playing in organized basketball programs.  We provide the support and resources for our boys to obtain life transforming educational opportunities by being admitted to outstanding private, charter or exam schools.  The key to our success is our focused strategy of bring outstanding educational and mentoring programs to high potential boys participating in the leading inner city community basketball program which, as part of its core values, emphasizes academic success.
