Men's fencing unable to defend Beanpot title

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Brandeis men's fencing team was unable to defend its championship from the inaugural Boston Beanpot championships despite three close matches. The Judges defeated MIT (15-12), but lost to Boston College (12-15) and Harvard (11-16). The top performer for the Judges was senior All-American Will Friedman (Newton, Mass./Newton North), who went 7-2 on the evening. Brandeis which suffered its first two losses of the season, falls to 6-2 overall on the campaign.
