GETTING TO KNOW NICK

• Received a B-19 rating as a fencer for coach Salmon at Mission Fencing Club
• Placed 3^rd at the Division II North American Cup in Salt Lake City in 2019
• Planned Major: Computer Science
• The thing that most attracted me to Brandeis: The inclusivity of students and the research focused academics
• Favorite part of competing at Brandeis: Being able to meet and fence against people from all around the country
• Favorite high school class: World History because I have always been fascinated with learning about other's cultures and pasts
• I want to study abroad in: Korea because I am fascinated by their culture and food as well as their fencing styles
• Dream job: a chef because I love being able to make others happy through my cooking

• Favorite book: Percy Jackson and the Olympians
• The actor who would play me in the movie of my life: Ken Jeong
• Most memorable sports moment: Team USA's comeback in the semi-finals of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in Saber (featuring Tim Morehouse ’00!)

• COACH SALMON: As a sabrist, Nick's flexibility and quickness set him apart.  His developed attack is devastating and his tall stature often gives him an advantage on defense as well.  He will be able to grab onto this advantage early in his competitive bouts, and his ability to adjust will bring him much success.  Nick is a very team-oriented person and it has been a pleasure hearing his voice encouraging and celebrating his teammates as we train.
