ROCHESTER, N.Y. (taken from a UR press release) - Patrick Ripp
and Neil Osuch scored four minutes apart early in the first half to
lead the University of Rochester to a 3-0 men's soccer victory over

closing minutes. Rochester is 6-3-1 overall, 1-1 in the University
Athletic Association. Brandeis is 4-4-3 overall, 0-2 in the

Ripp opened the scoring at 14:19, driving a free kick from left

near post and leaped over the kick. His run partially screened
Brandeis goalie Taylor Bracken and the ball slid under the keeper's
dive.

top of the penalty area and Osuch chipped it to the upper right
corner of the net.
The best chance for the Judges came with 31:34 left in the match.
Rookie forward Patrick Metelus (Cambridge, Mass.) broke free down
right wing after a pass from sophomore forward Ben Premo (Florence,
Mass). Rochester goalkeeper Paco Corbalan charged off the line to
challenge. Metelus pushed the ball under Corbalan to the open
goalmouth but Rochester's Eric Meister cleared it from in
front.
Dennstedt scored his first collegiate goal in the 81st minute.
Dominic Pellingra crossed the ball from left wing to Dennstedt
streaking down the center. He circled Bracken and scored into an
open net from 12 yards.
Corbalan made six saves in 87:36 for the Yellowjackets. Michael
Peacock played the final 2:24 and made one save. Bracken had three
saves in the full 90 minutes for Brandeis.
