NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Brandeis University men's soccer team
broke back into the win column today with a 2-0 win over host
Albertus Magnus College.
After a scoreless first half, Brandeis (2-1-2) opened the scoring
in the 59th minute when senior forward Evan Duval (Wilbraham,
Mass.) collected a rebound and put it in the back of the net. The
Judges added an insurance goal in the in 80th minute when sophomore
midfielder Corey Bradley (Holyoke, Mass.) stole the ball and went
in on a breakaway, shooting it off the hands of Albertus Magnus
(4-2-1) goalkeeper Gerald O'Connor. It was Bradley's second goal of
the season.
Brandeis outshot the Falcons, 12-3, as sophomore Taylor Bracken
(No. Andover, Mass.) made one save for his first shutout of the
campaign. O'Connor had five stops in the losing effort.
The Judges are next in action on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
against rival Wheaton College.
