WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University men's soccer team has added Sam Groves as an assistant coach.

They went 50-40-15 in his seven seasons, including NCAA tournament appearances in 2011 and 2012, with an Ivy League title in 2011.

Between stints at Brown, Groves spent four seasons at Brandeis's rival Babson. He helped the Beavers to four winning seasons, three straight NCAA tournament appearances, and NEWMAC Tournament championships in 2014 and 2015.

Groves is a 2011 graduate of the University of Hartford, playing four seasons for the Division I Hawks. He appeared in 67 of 68 possible games over four seasons, earning New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) All-Star honors as a senior.
