Liu, Morse lead men's swimming past Babson, 125-96

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Brandeis men's swimming and diving team had two multiple winners as they captured nine of the 13 events to defeat rivals Babson College, 125-96, in Wellesley.

Junior James Liu (Glastonbury, Conn.) was the top performer for the Judges with three individual wins. Liu captured the freestyle sprints, taking the 50 in 22.26 seconds and the 100 in 47.97 seconds. He also won the 200 breaststroke in 2:19.57. Senior Robert Morse (Hope, R.I.) was the other multiple winner for the Judges. He took the 200 free in a time of 1:49.86 and the 500 in a time of 5:03.51. Single-event winners for Brandeis were junior Jesse Hershman (Hamden, Conn.) in the 1000 free in 10:51.03; senior Michael Rubin (Bangor, Maine) in the 200 individual medley in 2:10.90; and sophomore Aaron Bennett (Setauket, N.Y.) in the 200 butterfly in 2:00.78.
