Swimming and diving gets swept by Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. -- Rookie Angela Chui (Toms River, N.J) won three events for the women and classmate Marc Eder (Princeton, N.J.) had one on the men's side for the Brandeis swimming and diving teams, but it wasn't enough for the Judges to overcome host Tufts University. The women saw their four-meet winning streak snapped, 169.5-114.5, while the men's three-meet streak was halted, 205-82.

Chui won three different races for the Brandeis women. She captured both butterfly events, winning the 100-yard event in 55.70 seconds and the 200 in 2:14.98. Chui also won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.03.

For the men, Eder was one of three winners. He took the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:20.32. The Judges' other individual winners for the men were junior James Liu (Longmeadow, Mass.), who took the 200 backstroke in 2:08.18, and sophomore Aaron Bennett (Setauket, N.Y.), who captured the 200 butterfly in 2:00.36.
