WALTHAM, Mass. — The Brandeis University men's and women's men's and women's swimming and diving teams have both earned Scholar All-America Team honors for the fall semester from the College Swim Coaches Association of America.

To qualify for the team award, the team must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 for the Fall 2016 semester. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA then dividing by the number of players. A CSCAA record 638 teams representing 394 institutions were honored for their performances in the classroom last semester. The Brandeis women posted a 3.39 team GPA, while the men were at 3.34 as a team. In all, 12 Brandeis women and 16 men carried GPAs above a 3.0 last semester. This is the ninth-straight semester for the Brandeis women and eighth in a row for the men to qualify for the CSCAA All-Academic team.

In the pool, the Judges (men, 4-8; women, 4-9) are headed into the home stretch of their season. They will swim at Clark on January 28 in their final dual meet of the season before heading to the University of Chicago February 8 through 11 for the University Athletic Association championships.
