No. 30 Brandeis Men's Tennis wins, 7-2 over Bentley

WALTHAM, MASS - The Brandeis University men's tennis team topped Waltham rivals Bentley University, 7-2, in tonight's contest.  With the victory the No. 30 Judges improve to 4-3 and the Falcons fall to 4-1.

The Judges started off this evening's match going 2-1 in doubles action.  After a disappointing performance in the first spot, with Seniors Simon Miller (Plantation, Fla./Plantation) and Nick White (Wellesley, MA/Wellesley) falling to sophomores Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) and Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School), 8-4, Brandeis picked up wins in the other two matches.  Senior Ezra Bernstein (Buffalo, NY/City Honors School) and sophomore Josh Jordan (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional) won, 8-5 in the second spot and sophomore Steven Milo (Woodbury, NY/Syosset) and rookie Adam Brown (W. Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) finished, 8-6, in the third.

With a 2-1 lead going into singles, the Judges picked up two wins off the bat. Miller earned a 6-1, 6-0 decisive victory in his match against Wever and White won his matches 6-3, 6-3.  Milo fell to junior Zack Tuckman (Kinnelon, N.J./Morristown Beard School) in the third seed 7-5, 6-2.  The Judges made a comeback in the fourth and fifth spots, where Jordan bested his opponent 6-2, 6-4 and Bernstein came away with a 6-3, 6-2 win.  In the deciding match, Brown picked up the win in a super tie-breaker over Jimmy Rindo (Lowell, Mass./Lowell), going 6-2, 3-6, - 1-0 (10-8).

Bentley's next match is on Sunday against Eckerd University.

The Judges are in action again on Friday when they face off against Oneonta State.
