#33 Men's Tennis falls to #34 Wesleyan (Conn.), 9-0

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- The Brandeis University men's tennis team (3-6), ranked 33rd in Division III, dropped a 9-0 decision to #34 Wesleyan University (2-3) today. 

The Judges' closest doubles match came at No. 1, where sophomore Brian Granoff (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep) and junior Danny Lubarsky (Cleveland, Ohio/Hawken School) suffered an 8-5 loss to Michael Liu and Zacho Brint. In singles action, Granoff won the most games of anyone on the team, but dropped a 6-3, 6-4, match to Liu. Sophomore Ryan Bunis (Groton, Mass./Groton-Dunstable) had the closest set of the day at No. 3, but fell, 7-5, 6-1, to the Cardinals' Steven Chen.

Brandeis is back in action on Friday afternoon against Wheaton College at 3:00 p.m.
