#29 MTennis drops 7-2 decision at #23 Trinity (Conn.)

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Brandeis men's tennis team continued a string of alternating wins and losses on Sunday afternoon, as the 29th-ranked Judges dropped a 7-2 decision at No. 23 Trinity (Conn.) College in Hartford. The Judges fall to 6-9, while the Bantams improve to 7-3.

Brandeis got wins at the second spot in the lineup in both singles and doubles. In doubles action, junior Danny Lubarsky (Cleveland, Ohio/Hawken School) and sophomore Brian Granoff (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep) took an 8-6 decision, while Trinity won 8-1 at No. 1 and 8-4 at No. 3.

In singles action, sophomore Michael Arguello (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood) earned the team's second point with a come-from-behind win, 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 in a super tiebreaker. The Judges also had a pair of three-set matches not fall their way. Lubarsky suffered a 1-6, 6-4, 1-6 defeat at No. 3, while junior Eric Miller (San Diego, Calif. / Francis Parker) was involved in two tiebreakers before falling, 4-6, 7-6 (10-8), 8-10. 

The Judges are back in action on Wednesday at MIT.
