MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Brandeis men's tennis team was represented on the final day of action for the second year in a row at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional championships, as the team of junior Jackson Kogan (Pacific Palisades, Calif. / Windward School) and rookie Anupreeth Coramutla (Monroe Township, N.J. / Phillips Andover) reached the semifinals of the doubles bracket at Middlebury College.

The unseeded Judges opened the tournament with a win over Chen and Smith of Wesleyan, 8-3. In the second round, Kogan and Coramutla earned an 8-6 win over the Amherst team of Kaplan and Wei, who had upset the reigning NCAA championships Cuba and de Quant from host Middlebury. The Judges knocked off seventh-seeded Barr and Zhao of MIT, 8-2, to reach the semifinals. 

In the semifinals, the Judges suffered an 8-3 loss to Noah Farrell and William van der Geest of host Middlebury. 

Also earning a first-round doubles win was the team of rookie Nikhil Das (Smithfield, R.I. / Moses Brown School) and senior Eric Goldberg (Solon, Ohio / Solon), who defeated Kolesnik and Libnic of Babson, 8-3, before falling to third-seeded Tercek and Urken of Bowdoin, 8-3.

In singles play, Brandeis won two first-round matches but were unable to advance out of the second round against seeded players from the home team, Middlebury. Coramutla defeated Court Honda of Springfield, 6-3, 6-3, in the first round but fell to fifth-seeded Noah Farrell in the second, 6-3, 6-1. Coramutla and Farrell will face off again in tomorrow's doubles match. Kogan defeated Mason Casady of Gordon, 6-2, 6-1, in his opener, but went down against the Panthers' Kyle Schlanger, 6-2, 6-4. Das also competed in singles action, but fell to ninth-seed Sachin Raghavan of Williams, 6-3, 6-2.
