Walters claims UAA Player of the Week honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the first time in his career, Brandeis University junior Dylan Walters of Baltimore, Maryland, has been named the University Athletic Association men's tennis Player of the Week.

Walters won all four of his matches in a 2-0 weekend at home for the 31st-ranked Judges, all at #1 singles and doubles. In an 8-1 win over UAA foe Rochester, he won 8-4 at doubles and 6-4, 6-3 at singles. In a 7-2 win over #29 Skidmore, he won 8-4 at doubles again and 6-3, 6-2, in singles.

Overall this season, Walters is 4-6 in dual matches at #1 singles, while posting an 8-2 record at #1 doubles along with first-year teammate Tommy Harrison of London, England. Brandeis owns a 6-4 overall record. The Judges meet Babson College and UAA foes New York University this weekend on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Walters is a 2021 graduate of The Gilman School.
