Kramer earns All-New England honors in mile run

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Brandeis men's track and field team had just one All-Region performance at the 2010 New England Division III championships at Bates College.

The Judges were paced by rookie Alex Kramer (No. Andover, Mass./No. Andover), who finished in eighth place in the mile run to earn the team's only point of the day. With a time of 4:20.53, Kramer was part of a pack of four runners that finished within seven-hundredths of a second of each other, edging Jeffrey Raggazzini of Tufts by 0.01 second for eighth place. Brandeis sophomore Marc Boutin (Westford, Mass./Westford Acad.) was in that same pack, finishing in 10th place, 0.04 behind Kramer.

With one point, the Judges tied with Rhode Island College for 21th place out of 22 scoring teams.
