BOSTON, Mass. -- The Brandeis men's cross country team finished in 28th place overall and seventh among Division 3 schools at today's Open New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • The Judges had a spread of less than a minute from 1st to 5th runners, with 2 through 5 placing just 15 seconds apart.
  • Sophomore Ryan Stender (Amherst, Mass./Amherst Regional) was the team's top perfomer for the third meet in a row.
  • Junior Matt Doran (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale) moved back into the team's second spot after placing fifth in the previous meet.
  • Sophomore Liam Garvey (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield) cracked the team's top 5 in his first race of the season.
  • Sophomore Roger Lacroix (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) had his highest finish on the team as their fourth performer. 

UP NEXT

  • The Judges head to Connecticut College next weekend for a tuneup at the home of the New England Regional championships in November. In three weeks, the Judges return to Franklin Park for the University Athletic Association championships.
