Worcester, MA (taken from a WSC press release) - The Worcester State College softball team split a pair of games with the visiting Judges of Brandeis University Thursday afternoon at Rockwood Field in Worcester. Worcester State finishes the day at 4-6 with their MASCAC opener approaching this weekend against Bridgewater State, while Brandeis is now 8-10.

In game one, the Judges scored four runs in the first and third innings and added three more in the fourth to close out the Lancers in 5 innings. Brandeis got on the board in the top of the fourth scoring a run to make the score 3-1 but senior Jess Lisi (Southbridge, MA) gave the Lancers all the runs that they would need as she hammered a three run home run over the left centerfield fence to give Worcester State a 6-1 advantage.
