BOSTON, Mass. (taken from a Suffolk Univ. press release) -- The
Suffolk University softball team scored seven runs on nine hits off
starter Allie Mussen (Franklin Square, N.Y.) to claim a 7-1 victory
over visiting Brandeis University Monday afternoon at Puopolo Field
in Boston.
Sophomore pitcher Jess Ferreira (Cambridge, MA) was impressive for
the Rams, allowing no earned runs and striking out 11 in a complete

After Suffolk's Jackie Zwicker (South Easton, MA) scored on a wild

outstretched glove of the center fielder broke the 1-1 tie in the
bottom of the fourth inning. Erin O'Donnell (Groton, MA) added a
two-run single to score Rachel Misuraca (Gloucester, MA) and Kellie
Hurlock (East Lyme, CT) later in the inning to give Suffolk a 4-1
lead after three frames. O'Donell was 3-4 with 3 RBI.
Rebecca Barnett's (Hull, MA) RBI single in the fifth got the
scoring started for the Rams in the inning as Gaboriault scored on
the hit. The Rams took a 5-1 lead after a wild pitch scored Rebecca
Schalit. O'Donell capped off the inning with an RBI single to give
the Rams the 7-1 advantage.
