For the third time in four games, the Brandeis University women's basketball team held an opponent under 40 points as the Judges defeated visiting Endicott College, 77-34, in Red Auerbach Arena today.

Brandeis (4-0), the No. 15 team in the nation according to d3hoops.com and No. 16 by the WBCA, scored the game's first eight points and went ahead by a 24-10 margin on a 3-pointer by sophomore Lauren Orlando (Peabody, Mass.) with 9:40 left in the half. The lead ballooned to as many as 23 in the first half as the Judges held Endicott to 19 percent shooting in the stanza (5-26), taking a 36-16 advantage into the locker room. Four different Brandeis players had at least six points in the first half, paced by senior Caitlin Malcolm's (Windsor Locks, Conn.) eight. In the second half, Brandeis led by as many as 44 points and went on to exceed their season's average margin of victory of 41.7 points.

The Judges were led by Orlando, who had 13 points off the bench. She hit four-of-five from the floor, including two-of-three from beyond the arc, and was a perfect three-for-three from the line. Malcolm finished with 12 points on five-of-11 from the floor, to go with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. Junior guard Jaime Capra (Old Bridge, N.J.) had 11 points and tied for team-high honors with seven rebounds and four assists. Sophomore forward Cassidy Dadaos (Healdsburg, Calif.), making her first collegiate start, also had seven rebounds, while rookie guard Lauren Rashford (Whitesboro, N.Y.) matched Capra with four helpers. Rashford and senior guard Alison Chase (Farmington, Conn.) tied for game-high honors with four steals each.

Brandeis shot 45 percent from the floor (27-60) and 3-point range (9-20). The Judges owned a 43-33 rebounding advantage and forced 27 turnovers.

Endicott (1-2) put one player in double figures, as a sophomore forward Nicole Young (Rockland, Mass.) had 12 points on four-of-14 from the floor with a trifecta and three-of-four from the line. Young also led the Gulls with seven rebounds to tie for game-high honors. Junior forward Sarah Doherty (Somerville, Mass.) had two assists, while sophomore guard Nicole Duschene (Plaistow, N.H.) made three steals for Endicott.

Brandeis travels to Wheaton College at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday for their first road game of the season, while Endicott is at Suffolk University at 6:00 p.m. the same day.
