Junior guard Kasey Dean (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) led all scorers with 12 points, shooting 6-of-8 from the field. Eight of her 12 points came in the first half. Dean also had five rebounds, trailing sophomore Mikaela Garvin (Providence, R.I./Hope) and Nicolina Vitale (Clinton Township, Mich./Chippewa Valley) who led the squad with six caroms each.

Sophomore guard Hannah Cain (Gloucester, Mass./Gloucester) was the only other Judge in double figures with 10 points, all in the first 20 minutes. Cain also led all players with four assists. Junior Janelle Rodriguez (Peabody, Mass./Peabody Veterans) added eight points and a career-high seven steals, part of a season-high 23 for the team. Ten Judges had at least one theft, as their 34-19 turnover advantage turned into a 29-14 edge in points off turnovers.

Husson was led by rookie Amanda Johnson (Skowhegan, Maine/Skowhegan), who scoed 11 points off the bench, hitting 4-of-6 overall and 2-of-4 from 3-point range. Sophomore forward Chrissy Larrabee (Brooks, Maine/Mountain View) just missed a double-double with nine points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Husson got off to a fast start in the contest, outscoring Brandeis 14-5 over the first 5:45, including six-straight points by junior forward Stephanie Comstock (Bangor, Maine/Bangor). Brandeis responded with 14 of the game's next 16 points, going ahead for the first time at the 7:07 mark on a Dean jumper. It was still a 23-21 game with 4:24 left before the intermission when the Judges closed on an 11-4 string, capped by Cain's bucket just before the horn that made it 34-25, Brandeis, headed into the locker room. The Judges then opened the second half by holding Husson to just one field goal over the first seven-and-a-half minutes, pushing the lead to 20 points and never looking back.
