ATLANTA, Ga. -- Brandeis junior guard Janelle Rodriguez (Peabody, Mass./Peabody Veterans) scored a career-high 14 points tonight, but that matched the entire total output of her teammates as the Judges fell to #18 Emory, 59-28, in University Athletic Association women's basketball action. The Judges fall to 7-10, 1-5 UAA, while the Eagles improve to 15-2, 5-1 UAA.

The Judges, playing without a couple of regular members of their rotation because of illness, were held below 30 points and 20 percent shooting (9-53, 17.0%) in their second-straight game against a nationally-ranked squad. While Rodriguez scored her 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting, the rest of the team hit just 3-of-41. She also had four steals as the Judges forced 21 turnovers. Senior Samantha Anderson (Johnsonville, N.Y./Hoosic Valley) led the Judges with seven rebounds, while junior guard Kasey Dean (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) had two assists.

Emory was paced by Misha Jackson, who had 12 points, and Hannah Lilly, who finished with 11. Danielle Landy of the Eagles led all players with 11 rebounds, finishing two points shy of a double-double, while also leading the hosts with four steals. Jackson also had three blocked shots. Emory connected on 40.7% for the game (24-59) and hit 8-of-31 from downtown (38.1%).

The Judges will look to snap their five-game losing streak on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rochester, while Emory hosts NYU at the same time.
