Cain also scored a career-high 18 points in a 60-52 win at the University of Rochester on Feb. 8. Cain started 27 of the team's 28 games this season and 77 of 78 in the three seasons in which she was healthy. She ended the season and her career in style, averaging 12.3 points and 2.7 assists per game to earn ECAC Division III New England Championship Most Outstanding Player honors.

The Brandeis women's basketball team finished the season with a 16-12 record under 28th-year head coach Carol Simon. The Judges earned the sixth seed in the ECAC Division III tournament and knocked off the top three teams - #3 Roger Williams, 63-44; #2 Emmanuel, 91-78; and #1 Westfield State, 75-65 in overtime – to claim the program's third ECAC title.
