Brandeis women take second at Boston Beanpot fencing championship

BOSTON, Mass. -- For the second year in a row, the Brandeis women's fencing team finished second at the Boston Beanpot Championships, held at Boston College. The Judges defeated Boston College, 17-10, and MIT, 19-8, while falling to defending champion Harvard, 20-7. The loss to the Crimson was the first of the season for the Judges, who now own a record of 8-1.

Leading the way for the Judges was senior epee fencer Caitlin Kozel (Jamestown, R.I./Lincoln School), who posted a 6-2 record overall, while sophomore saber fencer Anna Hanley (Medford, Mass./Lexington Christian) went 8-1
