Women's fencing goes 4-1 at Stevens Tech

The Brandeis women's fencing team posted a 4-1 record at the Stevens Institute of Technology this weekend. The Judges defeated Fairleigh Dickinson (22-5), Drew (19-8), Johns Hopkins (17-10) and host Stevens (19-8), falling only to Temple (8-19). Both the saber and foil squads won four of their five bouts. Sophomore Alex Turner (Lebanon, N.J./Hunterdon Central) led the team in wins on the afternoon, going 11-4 in the saber, while classmate Anna Hanley (Arlington, Mass./Lexington Christian) was 10-2. The foil squad's performance was more well balanced, as four different fencers turned a 3-0 record in each of the four team victories.
