Rosenzweig named UAA Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. - Brandeis University junior goalkeeper Hillary Rosenzweig of Boca Raton, Fla., has been selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) women's soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 26.

This is the second time in her career that Rosenzweig has been honored by the UAA. In her only action last week, Rosenzweig backstopped the Judges, ranked No. 10 in New England at the time, to a 3-0 win over then-fourth-ranked Bowdoin College. She made seven saves for her seventh shutout of the campaign, tied for the UAA conference lead. It was the 14th time in her career that Rosenzweig blanked an opponent, tied for third all-time in Brandeis women's soccer history.

Overall this season, Rosenzweig has started all 16 contests for the Judges, who own a 9-6-1 record. She 61 total saves, second in the UAA, ranks fourth in the league with an .813 save percentage and fifth with a 0.89 goals-against average. Brandeis is 2-2 in conference action, tied for third place in the UAA. They host conference rivals Emory, who sits in second place, and Carnegie Mellon University, tied for sixth place, this weekend on Oct. 31st and Nov. 2, respectively.

Rosenzweig is a 2006 graduate of Spanish River High School. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Amy Rosenzweig, Boca Raton, Fla.
