WALTHAM, Mass. – Throughout the course of the 2017-18 academic year, the University Athletic Association (UAA) will be releasing its 30th Anniversary teams, honoring the best student-athletes from the first 30 years of the Association. Brandeis Soccer has had 12 alumni named to the anniversary teams.

Men's soccer led the way, with eight alumni selected to the 30-year team, including four added since the Silver Anniversary teams were released. Brothers Sam Ocel '13 and Josh Ocel '17 were selected, as were Tyler Savonen '15 and Conor Lanahan '16. Josh Ocel is one of two active players on the men's soccer 30-Year team. Men's soccer alumni remaining on the list include Brandeis Athletic Hall of Fame members Ken Hannan '95 and Michael Novaria '91.
Women's soccer had four alumni named, including Hall of Famers Carmen Bumgarner '91 and Pam Vaughan '90.

The 30-Year teams were named by assigning two points for each spot on an All-University Athletic Association first team and one point for the second team. Each student-athlete who accumulated five points was selected to the team, as were all players who earned Most Valuable Player or Most Outstanding Performer honors.
