TEAM RECORDS

  • Brandeis: 7-7-2, 0-5-1 UAA
  • Chicago: 7-8-2, 0-4-2 UAA

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Brandeis broke the ice in the 10th minute on a goal by senior Makenna Hunt (Tyngsboro, Mass./Tyngsboro). Her cross from the right side of the box was intended for teammate Juliette Carreiro (Upton, Mass./Nipmuc Regional), but it was destined for the back of the net, as it bent inside the far post and under the crossbar.
  • Chicago got the next two goals from Maggie Jameson. In the 16th minute, Hannah Rittenhouse played a cross through the box that Jameson was able to knock into the open net.
  • In the 36th minute, Jameson put home a rebound of a hard shot by Stella El-Fishawy to earn the brace.
  • Brandeis equalized in the 43rd minute off a corner kick. Chicago's clearance attempt was kept in the offensive zone by sophomore Dominique Paglia (Westford, Mass. / Westford Acad.). Paglia's shot from just outside the 18-yard box was screened and found its way past UC's Adrienne Chan.
  • The second half saw Chicago with the advantage for much of the period thanks to a red card in the 55th minute. Brandeis goalkeeper Jessica Murawsky (Huntington Valley, Pa. / Lower Moreland), who had come on just before halftime, was called for impeding the last player to the net as she went out to challenge for the ball. UC's ensuing free kick was high.
