WALTHAM, Mass. -- In their only dual match of the Fall season, the Brandeis women's tennis match fell to local rival Tufts, 8-1.
The Judges' lone point came from sophomore Emily Eska (Princeton, Mass./Wachusett Regional) at sixth singles. Eska bounced back from dropping the first set to earn a 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 win in a third-set super tiebreaker. Brandeis had one other match go the distance, where senior Allyson Bernstein (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) fell in a tiebreaker in the third, 2-6, 6-3, 4-10.
Brandeis is back in action next weekend at the New England championships.
