Shreeve sets a personal record in the 1500m at Wesleyan in the Judges' outdoor opener

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Rookie Kyra Shreeve (Northborough, Mass. / Algonquin Reg.) finished third overall in the 1500m with a personal record time of 5:03.50 at the Wesleyan Invitational Saturday. The Judges began the outdoor part of their schedule, but had to compete indoors due to poor weather conditions.

Shreeve continued her strong rookie season by finishing the 1500-meter event in a p.r. 5:03.50, under one and a-half seconds behind the first place finisher from Wesleyan.

Senior Alyssa Fennenbock (Upper Saddle River, N.J. / Northern Highlands Regional) set a p.r. in the shot put with a toss of 31-feet-4 inches, finishing 10th. Rookie Jordin Carter had a toss of 28-feet-3.75 inches, while junior Ashley Klein (Manalapan, N.J. / Manalapan) finished right behind her in 16th with a toss of 28-feet-1.75 inches.

Junior Tove Freeman (Oakham, Mass. / Quabbin Regional) had a top-10 finish in the 800m with a time of 2:35.81. Rookie Hannah Kilcoyne (Concord, Mass. / Concord Carlisle) ran the 800 meters in 2:40.62.

The 4x200 relay team of rookie Lydia McCaleb (Evanston, Ill. / Evanston Township), senior Gabriella Guillette (Lunenberg, Mass. / Lunenberg), senior Kristi Pisarik (Chelmsford, Mass. / Chelmsford) and junior Maggie Hensel (Niskayuna, N.Y. / Niskayuna) ran 2:05.73, crossing sixth.

The Judges return to action this weekend at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday.
