Track and field opens outdoor season at UMass Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. -- The Brandeis University track and field teams returned to action this Friday, beginning the 2023 outdoor season in the UMass Lowell Invitational. They competed strongly against Division I competition in a nonscoring meet.

TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES

  • Senior Dion Morris-Evans (Canal Fulton, Ohio / Northwest) picked up where he left off in the indoor season and had a great return to action. He finished first in the 110-meter hurdle with a time of 15.24 seconds, setting a personal record with that time. Morris-Evans also finished second in the high jump with a height of 1.86m, just shy of his personal record 1.90m.

  • Sophomore Danny Krigman (Chelmsford, Mass. / Chelmsford) had a career day, setting personal records in two different sprints. In the 100-meter dash, he finished 5th with a time of 11.31 seconds. In the 200-meter dash, he finished 4th with a time of 23.16 seconds.
