Volleyball falls in 3 to UMass-Boston

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Brandeis University volleyball team suffered a straight-set defeat at the hands of UMass-Boston tonight. The Judges struggled offensively in a 25-8, 25-10, 25-11 loss.

Sophomore libero Yvette Cho (San Diego, California/Rancho Bernardo) had the team's top performance, recording 12 digs. Rookie outside hitter Emma Bartlett (Duxbury, Massachusetts/Duxbury) led the offense with four kills, while sophomore setter Marlee Nork (Chicago, Illinois/Walter Payton College Prep) had seven assists.

UMass-Boston's top performer was Eileen Shi, who had 14 kills and three errors in 22 chances for a .500 hitting percentage. The Beacons hit .437 as a team (36 K-5 E-71 TA). 

Brandeis falls to 3-5 on the season. The Judges meet Bates on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
