
ATLANTA, Ga. — The eighth-seeded Brandeis University volleyball team dropped its second match of the UAA tournament in three sets to the fifth-seeded Case Western Reserve Spartans in three sets Friday evening, 25-16, 25-18, 25-19. With the loss the Judges fall to 15-13, while Case Western improves to 18-12.

Junior Shea Decker-Jacoby (Los Angeles, Calif. / Marymount) had team-high totals in both kills (9) and digs (10).

Junior Grace Krumpack (Cincinnati, Ohio / Colerain) matched Decker-Jacoby's total with ten digs, as well. Classmate Yvette Cho (San Diego, Calif. / Rancho Bernardo) had eight digs.

Junior Marlee Nork (Chicago, Ill. / Walter Payton College Prep.) and freshman Megan Osorio Moran (Hollywood Fla. / St. Thomas Aquinas) split setting duties for the Judges. Nork led with ten helpers, while Osorio Moran had 8.

Nork had a team-high three service aces.

Sophomore Emma Bartlett (Duxbury, Mass. / Duxbury) was a force at the net on defense, with six blocks: three solo and three assists. Junior Zara Platt (Fountain Valley, Calif. / Fountain Valley) had four block assists as well.

The Judges hit .061 for the match (25K-19E-99TA).
FOR THE SPARTANS

Faith Ellis had a double-double, leading the Case Western with 31 assists and 11 digs, both match-highs.

Brianna Lemon had a match-high ten kills on a .227 attack percentage, while Katie Kaminski was close behind with nine kills of her own. Karley King also contributed seven kills.

Karina Bondelid reached double-digits in digs, with 11. Anna Jaskoviak added nine digs.

Bondelid also contributed from behind the service line, with five aces and no errors.
